A jack of all (some) trades, freelance web and graphic designer
A little bit about me…I didn’t start off as a graphic design student or an IT student, instead I graduated on the other side of the fence, in business and marketing before branching out to concentrate more on creative projects. This solid foundation in marketing enables me to approach design from a more practical perspective, truly understanding the needs of the client before diving straight into the aesthetics. It also allows me to provide advice where need be in regards to content, messaging and overall voice.
So why Freelance Matt? For starters, this is not about Lance! Who is that guy?! Freelancing for me is all about the ‘free’ part, it’s about variety, creative expression and ultimately enabling a work-life balance which is exactly that, balanced. As much as a life promise to myself as it is a business name, my goal is to work from anywhere in the world, anytime (when there’s not a pandemic!). This desire to live a modern nomadic life, fuels my work and my passion for great design and is a constant driver for me to refine and better my skills.
Because I’m a freelancer, I’m free from the many overheads that an agency would typically have to factor in to their quotes. With me, you’re straight-up paying for the service, allowing you a more affordable and transparent option. I’m also happy to help you with smaller jobs that an agency would typically brush aside; photo editing and re-sizing, logo restoration or vectorisation, even converting image files.
